Cozy Tea Light

This is such a stinking cute image to make a luminaria out of.

I used Crate Paper School Spirit Collection paper for the house, a white gel pen, and cut the windows out with an exacto. Then I adhered vellum to the inside and put an LED tealight inside.

The icicles are a Martha Stewart punch.

Pink sugary goodness...

I'm not super big on sweets, but I do have a cheese tooth, if there is such a thing :)

I reanimated a Laughing Cow cheese container for little miss Juniper today :) I painted it with a Ranger dabber and colored her with Copics. The circle on the front is fabric, and there's glitter all over it.

More Silhouette goodness....

These flowers are truly inspiring. They are some of my fave stamps I've owned in a long time just because of all the different things you can do with them.

For this card, I used the Emboss Resist technique on an eyelet Nestabilities die cut with some paper I got at CKC. I sponged Walnut Stain Distress ink around them to make them pop and finished the card off with a transparency I also got at CKC and some May Arts silk ribbon.

Backlit blooms

I am obsessed with silhouette flowers. Seriously. Obsessed. These images are so beautiful.

I used my blended pencil technique for these - stamping them in a light colored ink and then blending Prismacolor pencils on top of the ink.

And back in the Boudoir...

Oh my... How about some blingy undies to make you feel like a movie star? :)

Or, a gorgeous pink vanity with a pink phone?
This whole stamp set just makes you feel glamorous and girly!
Full instructions for the pink card here.

Here Kitteh Kitteh Kitteh....

I love mew kitteh stamps! And the top kitteh loves the bottom kitteh JUST long enough to get a fishy! :) These are colored with Copics. The "rug" and "wallpaper" are October Afternoon Seaside.
Talk to the tail - is that not what EVERY cat is telling us??
I just drew and shaded the wall with a white pencil and the trim is from Webster's Pages.

Creatures, Creatures and MORE Creatures

Here are a few ditties from the Creatures II collection. From devlish to sweet! I love these because they're SO fun to color!! Details here.

A Lesson in Birds & Bees....

Not really :) Just joking. I don't think that's allowed here. It's a family blog. But I can SHOW you adorable birds & bees, right? Love these little guys. And I don't know if there's a green bird with a red chest, but I thought there ought to be. I colored the bird and the honeycomb with Copics. Details here.

Bad Cat!!

Believe me, this one speaks to me!!! The battle to save furniture never ends!!I colored the images with Copics and used a white gel pen on the scratches. I mounted everything all wonky to parallel the chaos involved with living with a feline :)

What's Mew?

I LOVE the new kittehs!!! I drew a line, stamped the kittehs on it, and then cut out their paws so I could slide that black strip underneath them. I colored them with Copics - they are actually stamped on white, and I colored the background with a Copic Marker to match the newsprint paper below.

Normal is BORING

This was the perfect stamp set for one of the VSN challenges on Splitcoast this weekend.

The challenge was to make a card where some element - color, texture or image - changed from left to right.

Supply list is here.

Zebras and Giraffes bathing OH MY!

Yeah, so maybe I had this stamp upside down and didn't know it was a bed. I thought it was a tub! :) This is from the Doodle Factory Boudoir set and Doodle Factory Animals are bathing together! :)

This card is for this week's sketch at 2S4Y

ARctic Recap cards by Lydia Fiedler

If there is one thing Lydia is know for it's thinking outside the box. Take a look at what Lydia dreamed up for our new Arctic release. This first card is a great example of Lydia's ingenuity.

Holiday Nativity Tag

Hallelujah! I made a tag! :)

This is an often neglected part of my holiday preparations, for some reason, so I was determined to make tags this year. This is a Nativitag! :)

I wanted a light background for the little scene, but the white was too stark against my pretty metallic paper, so I went with a magazine page instead and I think it works nicely.

It's my fave reanimated magazine - Food and Wine - because of the matte paper it's printed on.

I need to re-subscribe to a few magazines - my supply has dwindled! Hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Bearing Gifts

For this card I thought I'd emphasize the gifts, not the givers, so I colored the wise men from O Holy Night in greys, and then glittered the gifts. They're much sparklier and nice in real life! :)
